This is the classic London shape vase from Dartmouth Pottery in Devon. This was probably one of the most popular vases produced and quite rightly. It is sturdy, with a big water holding capacity, the deep body makes flowers very stable and it is elegant.

This one is a later one and the glaze is a deeper blue green that the early eau de nil ones. We have put a picture of an eau de nil mini up against it to show the difference.

A flake chip on the underneath of the base and glaze pin points. Light rub marks on one side.
